Hard to believe that something so bucolic almost killed me.<\/p>\n
The morning after a day’s hiking in the Rocky Mountain National park I discovered a small bite on the back of my knee. I thought nothing of it. During the drive back to where I was staying that summer I begin to feel flu like symptoms developing. By the time I made it back to my temporary home it was all I could do to crawl into bed. I woke up 2 days later.<\/p>\n
Those two days were filled with fever induced halicnations and I had no notion of time passing. I suspect I was unconcious a lot of the time. I was staying in a hotel that was closed over the summer and basically no one knew where to go looking for me.<\/p>\n
After a few days of rest I was fit as a fiddle again. I never did manage to see a doctor.<\/p>\n
