I finally got around to updating the blogroll entries here to match my SharpReader setup. The OPML exported by SharpReader didn’t make it over a simple file import into WordPress, it died an ugly XML related death. I saved the OPML off to a web server and tried to import via a URI… success!
I’ve also did a quick posting to my ‘About‘ page. It’s cheesy, but it’s a start.
Ok, so I know that Dick is a fixture on Times Square for NYE but come on now.
Watching Dick Clark ‘call the ball’ was quite surreal. I thought I had had WAY TOO MUCH to drink when I heard him. When one of the designated drivers made a comment about his speech I knew it wasn’t me and that Dick was well past the end of his career. You gotta wonder who in their right mind thought that putting him through that was a good idea.
Yes, I know I’m about 13 days behind the news wave on this one but I’m still recovering from my CES (Vegas, bhaybee, VEGAS!) jetlag.
Also, I’ve openned up the comments; posting is no longer limited to logged in users. I’ll keep it this way until the spam becomes a problem.
I’m still trying to digest all the info I gathered at CES. I have a ton of pics to post including some fab-damn-tabulous shots of George Thorogood. Yes, that George Thorogood.
Gibson had a huge tent in the parking lot with a stage. George played Thursday and Friday nights (I went to both) for about 2hrs each night. There were only about 100 people in the crowd so I was able to get very close to the stage.
I’ll post the pics as soon as I figure out how to make WordPress create thumbnails.
Did I mention that they also had an open bar?
What do you get when you dump 150,000 people into Vegas (bhaybee, VEGAS!) for the weekend? You get 1.25hr wait times for a taxi. For those of you keeping track at home this queue folds back on itself 6 times and each ‘leg’ was approx. 50m long.
