I’m still trying to digest all the info I gathered at CES. I have a ton of pics to post including some fab-damn-tabulous shots of George Thorogood. Yes, that George Thorogood.
Gibson had a huge tent in the parking lot with a stage. George played Thursday and Friday nights (I went to both) for about 2hrs each night. There were only about 100 people in the crowd so I was able to get very close to the stage.
I’ll post the pics as soon as I figure out how to make WordPress create thumbnails.
What do you get when you dump 150,000 people into Vegas (bhaybee, VEGAS!) for the weekend? You get 1.25hr wait times for a taxi. For those of you keeping track at home this queue folds back on itself 6 times and each ‘leg’ was approx. 50m long.
So I’m wedged into a window seat on my final leg into Vegas (baby, VEGAS!) this afternoon staring at the gloriously desolate landscape below me when WOOOSH!!! Heading in the opposite direction and at our flight level was what appeared to be a Southwest ‘just drop your butt anywhere’ Airlines cattle car. Now it wasn’t quite close enough to get a tail number (nor at crusing speed did I have the time) but I could clearly make out the paint scheme and the aircraft type. I have to admit, I was a bit spooked.
However, watching the contrail form behind the other aircraft and then dispurse was rather cool.
I rarely remember my dreams. This makes the times that I do remember more interesting. Last night I dreamt that I was at a party surrounded by people from my past. Everyone was someone I knew from high school, including my friends and even two priests. What was interesting was who was not there; my family or anyone that is important in my life now. No, there were no cigars. 😉
Digital Media and whatever else flows through my head…
