Matt is a powerful vocalist, songwriter and guitar player. I first saw him as an openner at the Lowell Summer Music Series and was blown away. He had a band with him for this show and frankly, I think I like him better solo.
This was our first visit to the legendary Club Passim. The stage lighting consisted of 3 small track lights, likely purchased from Ikea (as suggested by the openner Tom Wilson of LeeHarveyOsmand). I’m still getting the hang of my new f2.8 70-200 lens; the shots were less than stellar.
This was taken at the Agra Fort, in Uttar Pradesh India. You’ve likely heard of a more famous landmark in the same city, the Taj Mahal.
This young woman was with a family group touring the fort, each of the more beautifully dressed than the next. Her left forearm is covered in an intricate henna tatto.
We’ve seen Roberto several times now and he never fails to impress.
The lighting in this venue contiues to vex me. I swear the color temp. changes with every shot. It’s basically a bar with a band setup at one end with two or three small spots. I think they have different bulbs in each one.
I am working on full series from this performance but I couldn’t wait to share this one. I pressed the shutter several hundred times over the course of 2 performances of this group — mezmerizing does not begin to describe it.
