This is Lyle’s 5th appearance at the Lowell Summer Music Series – one more and he gets a free sandwich. 😉
Lyle appeared with his ‘Large Band’ this time; himself plus 11 other outstanding musicians. As if that wasn’t enough talent on stage at one time he was joined by a 10 voice gospel choir for several numbers!
John Higby is the Yo-Yo Guy! He holds 4 Guinness World Records, is a World Champion Yo-Yo-ist (Yeah, I just made up that last word but he is a legit World Champion). He performed with his wife, Rebecca, at a Lowell Summer Music Series Kids show.
This woman was knitting, in the dark, while enjoying a set by C.J. Chenier at the 2017 Lowell Folk Festival. I really liked the lighting in this image coming only from a LED headlamp. I captured this shot somewhat as a test of my new camera, a Nikon D750 to see how it performed in very low light. If you look closely you can see a reflection of her hands in her glasses!.
I’d like to draw your attention to his face, specifically the tongue gymnastics he is performing. He did this quite a lot during the show — it was very entertaining. 😉
This was a ‘photo restricted’ show so I have very few shots. He is quite funny, which is no great suprise considering his lyrics, but this man does not smile! 😉
